Like we mentioned in class on Friday, Monday the 10th will be dedicated to sharing your projects with your classmates during a gallery walk.  You must be prepared to ask questions to your classmates who are presenting their 'casas' and answer questions when you are presenting.

Due on Friday are all of the components to the 'casa de mis suenos' project.  You should come to class with a final draft of your essay, a completed floor plan and a completed drawing of the house.  In class you will be allotted time to organize them onto your poster board and glue them down.

Tarea # 16 (Translation practice for quiz)

This will be assigned in class on Monday 11/5.

Remember, on the quiz you will need to know how to write out years, ordinal numbers, and the 16 new vocab words.

Tarea # 11



This assignment should be completed on your own sheet of paper.  It is practice for the verb 'tener' and the word 'hay'..

1) Write 10 complete sentences with the verb 'tener' (2 with each form of the verb):

Ejemplo:

Yo tengo un carro verde.  

As a reminder, here are the 5 forms of 'tener':

tengo
tienes
tiene
tenemos
tienen

2) Write 10 sentences about what there is en la clase de español.  (Use ‘hay’)  If you can't think of q0 things in Spanish class, you can use 'mi casa'.

Ejemplo: 

En la clase de español hay un reloj .

En mi casa hay una silla.

Oral Quiz on Wednesday, 10/3

Students will be expected to carry on a 3 minute 30 second conversation.  Each student will need to ask at least 9 questions to the other person.  Three of the questions must be about a different family member.   Students may use an outline of 20 words, but they can't use a script.  Students should use filler phrases like "pues", "¿en serio?", "que bien" and "interesante".
