Tarea # 14 (Vocabulario de la Casa)

Here is the first homework assignment of the new unit.  The unit is La casa de mis suenos.   After mastering the target vocabulary and grammar, student will design their dream house and describe it room by room.  They will do this in the form of a written and oral assignment.

Quiz # 3 on Friday, 10/19

This quiz will review the conjugation of 'tener' as well as the expressions that we have gone over in class.  It will also have a section on the verb 'gustar'.

Tarea # 11



This assignment should be completed on your own sheet of paper.  It is practice for the verb 'tener' and the word 'hay'..

1) Write 10 complete sentences with the verb 'tener' (2 with each form of the verb):

Ejemplo:

Yo tengo un carro verde.  

As a reminder, here are the 5 forms of 'tener':

tengo
tienes
tiene
tenemos
tienen

2) Write 10 sentences about what there is en la clase de español.  (Use ‘hay’)  If you can't think of q0 things in Spanish class, you can use 'mi casa'.

Ejemplo: 

En la clase de español hay un reloj .

En mi casa hay una silla.

Due: Oct. 15th.

These are practice exercises that use the verb "tener" or "to have".  Remember to translate the odd numbered problems.


Remember:  tengo, tienes, tiene, tenemos, tenéis, tienen are your tener conjugations.

These are exercises that apply the word 'hay' or 'there is / there are'.  I have not scanned the sheet so it is not uploaded yet.  It will be due on Wednesay the 10th (along with Tarea # 10) because there will be a substitute on Monday.

Oral Quiz on Wednesday, 10/3

Students will be expected to carry on a 3 minute 30 second conversation.  Each student will need to ask at least 9 questions to the other person.  Three of the questions must be about a different family member.   Students may use an outline of 20 words, but they can't use a script.  Students should use filler phrases like "pues", "¿en serio?", "que bien" and "interesante".
