Prueba el viernes

Hay una prueba de vocabulario y gramática el viernes.  Prepárate bien!

1) Vocabulary: There will be a section on just vocabulary where you will identify food images.  Make sure you know the el/la of each noun.

2) Vocabulary definitions: There will be a small section where you will have to identify the vocabulary definitions from Tarea # 14.  Study those.

3) Present progressive translations: There will be a section on the quiz where you will have to translate sentences like the following examples.

The waiter is talking with customers.
The cook is putting hot sauce in the soup. 
I am reading the menu.
She is drinking a glass of water.
We are ordering food.  The waiter isn't listening.

Friday's quiz will consist of the following.

A) Vocabulary (15 puntos)  -  students will need to label pictures that represent reflexive verbs.

B) Conjugations (5 puntos) - students will need to conjugate two different reflexive verbs.

C) Fill in the blanks (5 puntos)  - students will fill in the blank with the correct reflexive pronoun of verb conjugation.

D) Short translations (5 puntos) - students will make short translations from English to Spanish.

Total - 30 puntos

Tarea # 3 - plus hints


The link below is for Tarea # 3.  On it you must give directions from the biblioteca to the tienda pequeña.  Follow the guide (actividad en clase # 1) below the link to ensure you use the correct format.


Actividad en clase # 1

Tú estás en la biblioteca en la esquina de la Avenida del Oeste y la Calle Independencia.  Tú necesitas ir a la farmacia pequeña.

You are at the library at the corner of Western Avenue and Independence Street.  You need to go to the small pharmacy.

Primero, camina recto en la Calle Independencia por una cuadra.  Después de eso, dobla a la derecha.  Después de eso, sigue recto en la Avenida de Guadalupe por tres cuadras.  Aquí, vas a pasar por el zócalo. Después de eso, dobla a la izquierda en la Calle Justica.  Después de eso, camina recto por dos cuadras.

First, walk straight on Independence St. for one block.  After that, turn to the right.  After that, continue straight on Guadalupe Ave. for three blocks.  Here, you are going to pass through the zocalo.  After that, turn to the left on Justice St.  After that, walk straight for two blocks.

Finalmente, la farmacia pequeña está a tu izquierda.  Has llegado a tu destino.

Finally, the small pharmacy is on your left.  You have arrived at your destination.
